REALLY, REALLY A GREAT RELAY......REALLY

Thanks crew, for a wonderful 24 hour Relay for Life.  It was special to be a part of it.

Can’t thank Sarah, Sandi, and Geoff enough for all there work in getting us all under

some kind of control, as if that might be possible for the Scheuber family.  Thanks also

to Beely for the huge pot of “gronies” (could have used a little more salt but still one of

the best batches he’s ever made).

For those that were not in attendance you need to know that Sandi and Geoff made sure that

Grandma and Grandpa Scheuber got a sample of the gronies.  They attached a couple of gronies

to a balloon and released it to carry the sample to the heavens above.  Beely, they must have passed

the test or we would have heard about it by this time.  Then again, there was an earthquake in the

Lake Tahoe area so maybe Grandpa agreed they needed more salt.

Geoff, the pictures are great.  I’ve never seen so many cute little blond girl cousins in all my life.  (The

next one will be a boy)   Also, the ‘Geoff or Ted’ picture was easy.  No way does the person in the picture

look anything like a guy that would go out and play golf while we labored on the track and to top it off,

shoot a score of 100.

Also, congrats to Sarah on her certificate for collecting over $1000 all by her self………and to Geoff for being

the third highest on-line donation collector  for the entire Relay for Life.  You did good!!!!!!!!!!!

Happy to be involved……..

What a day at the Relay!

Riley sports official "Scheubers for Life" away jersey worn by S4L team

Team S4L donated $4,225 of the $490,000+ raised at this past weekend's Relay for Life event in Modesto. Uncle Bill donated 500 pounds of 'gronies to the hungry S4L team members, both contributions highly appreciated and went to great causes!

Thanks again Uncle Bill.

We had a great time, and thanks to Sara as always, for her leadership.

Macaroni and More

Wow! Finally some more news on the Scheuber website!
My mouth began watering as I read that Uncle Bill is
making his famous macaroni. Can hardly wait!!!
Chuckled at Ashlee thinking that I was talking about
her Mike camping out at the relay. I already knew that
she wasn't going to be able to make it due to being
DUE SOON. I am disappointed at not being able to see
her with a big tummy though. Mike W. --Do you have
any pictures to share? Amazement at the GYAO
results. That ARCHAIC Uncle Leo placing 3rd!!! From
all Brother John's bragging about his big brother Leo
and his golf scores, I already knew that he can
compete with the younger GYAO Seniors.

Having a stupid accident today may prevent me from
walking in the relay. Holding a microwaved cup of tea
over my lap, I accidently spilled the whole contents
on my uppper leg. After a trip to the doctors and
being diagnosed with 2nd degree burn, I have spent
most of the day in bed trying to sleep off the pain.
Hopefully I can walk better by Saturday.

Matt and his friend Preston are outside swimming in
the pool. He has a girlfriend now-----oh no! Her
name is Sarah. More confusement in the Scheuber
family.

Happy Father's Day!

Welcome to the virtual Father's Day BBQ. If you're reading this...glad you could stop by! I woke up this morning with Grandma and Grandpa's ranch on my mind and how many great Father's Day's we spent out there. I was wanting to go visit, so here I am. Pass the bbq chips and red "ponch" please!

Unkel Bill...you read my mind. I've been meaning to call you and beg about the 'gronies! Thanks for thinking of this. Here's who's all confirmed on the team:

Sara & Mike (Matt, Zac, Riley and Taylor)
Auntie Marge & Uncle John, and Ben,
Heidi & Ted (Sidney, Haley and Callie)
Sandi
Leo and Marge
Ann Stowers
Ed and Joan Phillips
Gunver Olsen
Venus & Geoff (Erin and Lauren)
Of course the honorary Master Chef, and his bride (Unkel Bill, Auntie Fran)

So about 22 full on eaters. Sara, what time would be good to serve?

I can't wait to see everyone. I think I'll take one of them chelly samwiches on my way out.

Bye for now....Have a great day!

Correction

So the Mrs. and I were sitting at dinner tonight and got to talking about the relay and the general happenings of the world. She mentioned that on the Scheuber News Auntie Marge wrote that Mike Scheuber and Family would be camping over night at the relay. She then tells me that she wrote back saying we weren't going to be there. Well... I pointed out to her that she probably was referring to HER SON.
I'm flattered that she sees me as the one and only but I think the pregnancy is starting to take it's toll.

Auntie Marge--the Mike Scheuber's will not be participating in this year's relay.  Mike might make an appearance, but I will be at home anticipating the arrival of the little one.  So far, so good.  I feel great and still have all my energy.  Two weeks to go!!

Have a wonderful relay,

ARCHAIC BUT STILL SWINGING

Just want to inform the Scheuber World that this archaic person competed in the 23rd Annual GYAO  (Golf Your Ass Off) Tournament this past Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday.  Four rounds of golf in three days.  Archaic as I may be, placing 3rd , just two strokes behind the winner, was not too shabby for being the eldest of the 24 participants.  Sorry I let you all down by not repeating  my accomplishments of winning the 20th and 21st Annual GYAO events.

So………..I’m proud to carry the flag of the “archaic.”  At least I’m still swinging.

Thanks, Erin for the latest update on Scheuber happenings for May and June.  Can’t believe I will have a granddaughter in high school next year!!!!!!!!  Good Luck.

Looking forward to the Relay weekend.  See you there.

Camp Out at the Relay

Excellent! I'm ready for our annual beach chair volleyball event. Am assuming a few of the late night shifts. Also, a much under publicized late evening pizza run (Matt, are you in??) is always on our agenda.

Yeah how about the donations this year? Amazing what happens when ya just ask.

See you all in a week!

Geoff

Geoff, According to Ted P. his family is camping out
at the Relay. Would imagine that the Mike Scheuber
family is camping out also.

Don't forget to ask Heidi and Ted about the "get even
trick" that Ted "pulled over" on Jeff Duarte. Seems it
was coming from an incident at Ted's college
graduation party many years ago. Heidi and Ted were
here last Saturday and met Jeff and April at the Fat
Cat. Cousin Dave was there also but did not stay
long. He just happened to stop in for awhile after
attending a movie.

Congratulations to Geoff, Sarah, Sandi and Mike for
the extra monies raised by their own Cancer Relay
site. What a great way to combat the fight against
cancer!

See you at the Relays!!

Archives

Auntie Marge, thanks for the info on the Modesto Bee archives. I guess one could then conclude that Leo and Steve are "archaic?"

Relay for Life shirts have been ordered. How's the heat up there? Also, anyone else camping out? Scheubs/LB are definitely camping.

SENIORS IN THE BEE ARCHIVES

Just wanted to tell all that if you subscribe to the
Modesto Bee you can subscribe to the Bee Archives for
free. So today as I was checking the Photo Gallery I
clicked on the first slide show. After viewing a few
pictures, much to my surprise up pops the Golf Guys in
their darling archiac outfits as they pose for the
bee. Congratulations to Leo and Steve for being
selected to appear in the Archives.
