Relay for LIfe

Glad you liked the video! I can take NO credit for the background (drive in stuff). These are pre loaded templates on the mac. I did add in the Prescott Part. Hee hee.

Use the video for your donaters next year, hopefully it'll be an easy way to explain our plight!

Enjoy,
Geoff

relay for live video

Wow!   Sandi, John, Ben and I just watched the Relay for Life video for the first time.  Had so much fun at the Duarte wedding that I forgot where I put it when we came home. Thanks so much Geoff.  We couldn't get the DVD player in the family room to work, so we all piled on the Kingsize bed in our master bedroom to watch the production.   Loved the introduction of the drivie-in-movie.  How did you do that?  Were the people in the cars someone you taped?  We couldn't figure that out.  Ben & Sandi thought the car in the front seat looked like it could be Erin.  You really captured many memorable moments and  it actually was a tear jerker to watch  at times -when we think of how the family gets together each year to take part in this great cause for the cure.Watching the delightful children having fun together with their cousins is a cherishable memory.  Thank so much Geoff for all your efforts!    The JRS family.

Cowboy Ken rocks!

misc.

How about that Duarte wedding!  As Fran said this was as close to a celebrity wedding as we will get. It was beautiful, fabulous and so much fun!  Some Scheubers had more fun than others. Can hardly wait to see pictures.

Last night was the Open House for the Ag. Dept. The PJ's, LA's and the JR's were there enjoying the annual barbeque.. Program followed.  Mr. L. A. was not around when he was introduced.  Think he left early-- maybe still getting over the activities from the  wedding reception. Just Kidding.

Just found out today that we have another Scheuber cowboy right here in this here state.  Sheridan Scheubers watch out!!  This here is Cowboy Ken.
Check him out at:    http://video.google.com/videosearch?q=dave+scheuber&hl=en    If this site does not work, go to:   Google.com  --click on video at the top and then put in Cowboy Ken --then click on search.  Enjoy!!   olemarge

''JOHN H. SCHEUBER HOUSE''

John H. Scheuber House
This medium-sized Greek Revival house is an example of a more affluent early residence in Joliet built around 1850, and one of the few remaining structures from the early 1850's period of the city. Constructed of native Joliet limestone, it was landmarked in 1991 for its architectural significance.
The two-story house has a front gable roof with a lunette window in the gable, limestone lintels and window sills, and a wood-paneled front door with sidelights and a transom light.
The first known residents were John J. Scheuber, a physician, and his wife Marie Philomena Scheuber, in 1895. People bearing the name Scheuber lived in this house until 1937.

correction on spelling

Sorry, I typed Johan instead of Johann--Germans, Swiss, Austrian etc. would not doubt catch that.

Johan at Snowbird

Must give you a brief bit of our trip to Snowbird Resort in Utah to brag about your Uncle John and his Swiss upbringing.

Johan( as he was quickly named by the Salzburg Band) was one of the contestants in a yodeling contest.  Each contestant was given a quick lesson in how to yodel and the fun began.  Johan was last in line to perform . Much to the surprise of the band and the stockholders at the convention, he gave it his best.  After cheers from the audience, he had to reveal his history of learning to yodel from his  dad (the original Grandpa Scheuber) as he listened to him yodel while tractoring around his ranch.

A Brief History of Snowbird’s Oktoberfest
Thirty-one years ago, inspired by the towering mountains that reminded them of their homeland, two men costumed in leather lederhosen, came to Snowbird Ski and Summer Resort to play their accordions and sing in their native German tongue. Over the years, Oktoberfest has become the premier celebration of German food, music, dance and fun.
