Hello Scheuber Family –
Welcome to Tanja, we look forward to meeting you when you come to Modesto!
Relay For Life seems so far away right now, but it will be here before we know it. I am again rounding up the team members. The online web site for the 2007 Relay is up and running. Please visit our team site! You can join the team for a great experience. The Relay is June 23 at Johansen High School, Modesto. We encourage all the Scheuber Family to either join us on the team or visit us during the event. Thanks for all your support!!!

Kuno, So nice of you to make that comment about the Scheubers in America. The J. R. Scheubers remember the lovely looking and delicious braided bread that you made for us for dinner one evening. Seems as if it was on a holiday. Do you remember? And what was the Swiss name for that bread?
Sandi and I came across two photos on google that list the photographer as Kuno Limacher: one of a baby boy and one of a close up of someone's eye. Are these your photos? We can't read the article since it is written in German. I am a fan of google and check it out often. It helps me with my genealogy studies. olemarge
Hi Tanja
Enjoy your stay with the Scheubers! They can be really nice if you
treat them well ;-)

A WELCOME TO TANJA FROM SWITZERLAND
Heard it through the grapevine---Tanja has arrived and is spending her first part of her trip bedding down at Geoff and Venus's home. Interesting facts about Tanja are: She is 20 years old and planning to be an English teacher to 9-12 yr. olds. She has 2 or more years of study and needs time in U.S. to develop her conversational skills and to experience our culture. She would love to spend some time in USA classrooms either observing or volunteering. It would be great for her to be able to communicate with the children. Between Jana, Stephanie and I, we should be able to line up some time for her in classrooms.
Talents of Tanja: She plays classical guitar, a serious ballroom dancer, and an amazing photographer.
Tanja's Schedule: The rest of January she will be with Geoff and Venus. On Feb. 2 she plans to come by train to Modesto to Leo and Marge's home. Feb. 4 she will go with Sandi to the Bay area, and return to Leo and Marge's on the 8th or 9th. On the 19th, she will come to the John Scheuber home and stay until the 23rd. Then she will return by train to Southern California. Sooo.... that means she will be in this area from: Feb. 2nd to the 4th and Feb. 9th --- to the 23rd. So take this opportunity to offer any time you have of showing Tanja our American/Swiss hospitality. If you have time to take her on a short trip, arrange her some time in a classroom or have her over for dinner, it would be so appreciated.
Marge & Leo are planning an open house which is probably going to be on Feb. 3rd. More about that later. Something I forgot: Tanja is the granddaugher of Sep and Margrit Barmettler and daughter of Lisbeth and Armin Barmettler. Earlier some of us thought she was Sep Barmettler Jr.'s daugher. Had to get out the DAS BUCH DER SCHEUBER family tree book to get this straight. If you are still confused, refer to the family tree.
