birthday news

Happy Birthday to Sandi today!!!  She started off the day with a massage, but planned to spend the rest of the day at work.  Heard that she spent last weekend in Southern California visiting friends and also Geoff, Venus and girls. She had a great time.

Hope all is well with the rest of the Scheuber family and that Alex is recovering from her fall. Prayers for Kimberly(Maryanna's daughter) that she is progressing in her treatment.

We will be heading to Indiana in a few days to spend time with our  friends the Mettlers for 3 days.  They are planning a party on Sunday so that we can see all of our OLD friends there.  They are OLD like us since when we were there, we were in our 30's like they were. Then we will drive to Lexington, Kentucky where we will be attending a convention.  One night we will be having dinner on a horse ranch. We've been through Kentucky previously and remember the beautiful horse ranches there.  olemarge

Happy Fall to Everyone!

That BEAUTIFUL fall water wheel pictures is THE BEST ! !  Thank you for sharing that.

The Ernie Scheuber's have been busy with everything - you name it!  We finally finished the remodel of the house, pictures, etc. still to be added, but the main product is finally complete.  After removing walls, pushing out walls, gutting two bathrooms, replacing all the flooring (except kitchen and laundry), adding crown molding, new baseboards, new doors and trims, I think that we're ready for a little reprieve before tackling the kitchen. We did all the demolition and painting throughout - yes Uncle Ernie's doing quite well after his surgeries.  He's also taken on the task of restoring the "red truck".  Does it look familiar?  He's not quite finished with it, but it's on home stretch.  I'm quite proud of him as he's done so much of it himself, including the complete electrical wiring system.  It's really a cutie and he loves driving it around.
He's had a bit of a problem with the fuel line, and at the moment he's removed the gas tank to have it relined or "something" !

Well, we're off to N. Calif and the Oregon coast for 2 1/2 weeks or so.  We leave on Saturday in our new motorhome - Uncle Jim calls it our turtle.  It's just the right size for us - got it the end of June and we've done some short voyages to the Delta, Half Moon Bay and Pismo Beach and now heading north. I truly love it and in fact, I drove it for the first time day before yesterday.  Ernie said that I have to learn to drive it - so we were off for our "Cross Country" trip, Hatch to Sante Fe to Keyes to the Freeway and Home again - Whoopie ! !  It handled quite well and I really wasn't nervous at all.

It's hard to believe that it's fall - where has the year gone.  This past weekend we had the family over to celebrate (belated) Ernie's Birthday and Karyn's 3 little ones.  Well, they're 12 - 8 - 6, and growing! !
These 10 little ones are a real joy and just growing up much too quickly.  It's a good thing that we still have little Gracie who will be 2 in November - she's the apple of Jack's eye and he truly loves her!   Lori's two oldest, Anne and Nicolaus are both at Turlock High - hard to believe.  Martin and Kathryn - 7th graders, Megan 5th grade, Jack 3rd, Colby 2nd, Maggie 1st grade, Bailey Kindergarten and Gracie nearly 2 yrs old.  That's it in a nutshell.  They are a dynamic bunch, full of boundless energy and
needless to say, doing beautifully in school !

A big hello to all of you, and yes, we are still alive even though I haven't submitted a message for such a long time.

All our Love,
Uncle Ernie and Auntie Mary Jane
