I'M ENJOYING THESE BEAUTIFUL SPRING DAYS MY KIND OF WEATHER,SUMMER (FORGETABOUTIT)
TAKE CARE---LOVE AUNTIE FRAN
P.S.ENJOYED READING ALL THE NEW INFO---THANK YOU!!!!!.

Thank You Geoff!

Hello All!

I was excited to see my message go through, and Geoff’s follow-up message helped me to see why I may have had earlier problems.  When I posted before, my Outlook may not have been open … and to compound that, I had been having problems with my emails in general.

Briefly, the Coleman Family is all doing well.  Jeff is all rested from his busy time, Anne is a newly licensed driver, Nicolaus is preparing for his Confirmation and Eighth Grade Graduation, Martin is sporting a new smile with braces as of last Tuesday, and I’m busy with Graduation/Class festivities and the like.  We are all happy and healthy!

Hope all is well with the family.  We look forward to seeing you all at the Relay for Life.

Lots of love,

Lori

Posting a Message

Hi Lori and all,

Two ways to post.

1. Send an email to: GScheuber.postmymessage@blogger.com
a. The Subject of your email will show up as the subject of your post.
b. The body of the email will show up as the text of your post.
c. Ensure you sign your name, otherwise we won't know who posted (Remember the Swiss Riegel hoax?!? Ha!)

2. Or, click over there on "post a message" and a mailnote pops up with the above address already set to go. However, if your mail application is not open yet, you may have a problem with the post not going through.

When in doubt, use method one. I just tried it, and it posted the message in about a minute.

Hope this helps!

Geoff

This is a test!

Hello Everyone,

I’ve not had luck posting lately, so this is a test!  If there is a better way to post rather than directly from the blog, please let me know!

Lots of love,

Lori

Happy Mother's Day -- a little early

John and I will be in Ireland on Mothers' Day but will both be thinking of our mothers.  I came across the following prose that Shelly wrote while  taking a poetry class in 1987 titled, You Were So Patient.

The other day I saw a lady standing on the corner...  She was old, plump and patiently waiting.....waiting for something.... she just stood there......

And as she stood there I went back to another time..... years ago when I used to visit you Grandma... it was summertime.... it was very hot and it was noon... time for dinner.  You'd be out there on that old gravel road waiting for grandpa to come in from the field.  The heat , the wait didn't seem to bother you...

Years later was you laid in your hospital bed... again I saw you waiting patiently... this time you weren't waiting for Grandpa... you were waiting to meet your maker.  The pain, the wait didn't seem to bother you....

Take me back to the summertime....I want to be able to just stand and wait patiently.. Why am I in such a hurry while grandma stood there.... Yes You were always so patient.

relay for life video

Geoff, Thanks for putting on the video!  What a nice presentation you put together!  Last night Sarah put together a fundraiser to benefit Scheubers for Life Relay team. 25% of the sales made from the participants will go to our team.  We met at Mountain Mike's Pizza on McHenry Ave to enjoy a night out eating pizza. Scheubers attenting were Pius, Jay, David, Leo, Marge, Sarah, Mike, Matt, Sarah, Riley, Taylor, Ben, John and I.  Our newest member of the team Jamie Scheuber showed up to inform us that he would be running around the track for Scheubers for Life team.  So be prepared to ring that bell more often!!!  Way to go Sarah for recruiting Jamie!!!

Long Beach Scheubers checking in...

Hi All!

Thanks Auntie Marge for nudging me to get focused on the Relay For Life weekend. Can't believe it's here already. I put a link to the video from last year over there to the right. Take a peek if you haven't seen it. Hope all is well with everyone, can't wait to see you!

Lend A Hand

Thanks Leo for bringing this to our attention!!!  Scheubers are in the news.  Modesto Bee, April 21, 2007  ---  Article:   Lend A Hand      Articles about charity organizations were highlighted by a picture of last year's Relay for Life parade.  Leading the Scheuber group were: Sandi with the American Flag, Erin and her classmate( Lizzy?), John with the Swiss flag. Ted  is pushing a Pefferman girl (maybe Sidney-legs look too long for Callie) Someone holding Riley (legs look like Sarah) Joan(Sarah's mom) Mike holding Taylor, With a magnifying glass you can spot Ashlee, Mike holding Kenzee.  Others are there, but hidden from my view.  WAY TOGO SCHEUBERS!!!  IT IS THAT TIME OF YEAR AGAIN!!

hello out there

Any Scheuber news out there?  What is every one doing?   Seems like the elder generation has had bad news lately.  We have lost some memorable Ag. educators recently.  First it was Darwin Hamblin.  Now Homer Bowen.  Their widely attended funeral services demonstrated the impact they had on the lives they touched.

Anyone out there having trouble posting???  Ever since my computer came back from the Geek Squad, I have been unable to post.

I was having trouble posting since when I tried to post, outlook express would appear. Then it would ask me all these questions about site account, protocol, sub account, server etc.  Could not find a way to answer the questions.  Now this only happens on certain sites since I send all my email through yahoo.  So, not sure why I had not thought of this before now.  I am taking Geoff's post my message email and sending it through yahoo.  Here goes!

31 Days, 6 Hours?

Kuno,

Thanks for the map...that is so funny! How much time should we give
to the 3,462 mile swim? Probably should practice a bit before
attempting. Hey, why don't you try the route first. I'll even pick you up
in New York?

Hope you and your family are well!

Geoff

an easy way to get to Switzerland

Hi there
if someone of you likes to get to Switzerland (or Steinhausen
particularly) and does not like to take the plain just try it this
way:

http://maps.google.com/maps?f=d&hl=en&saddr=modesto&daddr=Steinhausen,+Zug,+Zug,+Switzerland&layer=&ie=UTF8&sll=37.0625,-95.677068&sspn=50.823846,80.15625&z=3&om=1

I never looked at google maps before but I certainly will in the future!

Kuno
