Thinking you all would like to hear more about Chris, I thought I would catch you up on the rest of his horses.  Yes I didn`t mention Prince, But what about Jack. He was the stud, Old and boney, But when stood in all his glory, What a sight to see. You might say he had one draging.  The other horses he had later were from Clayton Jones.  They were Pasqualliy and-------? what ever her name was.I believe they were sired by Jack.
Talking about T.P. Kettle Jones. He was our first new door neighbor when we moved to the ranc in 1939. Now mr. Jones was a very small man. Some thing like Pa Kettle, in "The Egg and I,"  a movie that Ma Kettle was played by Margerie Mane, and Pa was played by Persie Kilbryn. Theres a couple of names from the past. Maybe not spelled right but you get the point. Tom Jones of old days had some jerseys.[ cows]. He didn`t like the cows tails swatting him when he milked, so he ran awire from one end of the barn to the other, with large battery clamps spaced so he could clamp each tail. He was so skinny, he had to stand in the same place twice to cast a shadow.
The Joneses, were very nice people. They gave us a calf to butcher so we would have veal . After dad butchered the calf, he sent Fiedalie {Ernie]to thier house with a package of meat. He arrived saying I have a surprise for you, but we kept some of the calf. That stuck with Ernie for a whil     Uncle Bill.
