night at Vella's
Well, I am going to try this again. Ernie, Maryjane, Jim, Anita, John and I had a great time at Swiss night at Vella's Fruit Stand on Kiernan Ave. last night. During the summer months Vella Farms has a Fri night barbeque and features area music groups. Last night we saw many old Swiss and other local friends of our past. (How did they get so old looking?) Mrs. Beeler said that we need to come to the Swiss Hall. She will never forget our masquerade antics. Maybe some of the younger generation remembers how their crazy parents dressed up and built cardboard masterpieces such as a large shoe. Uncle Bill was the "Old Woman in the Shoe." Yes, you guessed it, the rest of us were the children. We took home many first prizes in those days at the Swiss Hall.
We were sorry that Leo, Marge, Bill,Fran and Pius and Jay were not able to join us, but they had other committments.
