Sports Update

The A's and the Giants destroyed on the same day?!?!? It was a bit overwhelming. Funny thing is that the big news down here was "no one left the Dodger game Saturday in the bottom of the ninth, down 3-0..." Brilliant fans. Even more brilliant sports reporters. They are comparing it Bobby Thompson's famous homer and stating that Dodgers have finally avenged that fateful day. Uh no. I'll forget who Finley is tomorrow. Giants gave it away.

My only saving grace is that Laker camp opens tomorrow! We're going to the first pre-season game on the 12th against Seattle at the Pond. It's a whole new season!

Fantasy Football. Lost tonight finally. Wow its been a really poor sports weekend. I ended up dumping Green for Kurt Warner, it was about a wash this week. I needed Jamal Lewis to come up big tonight, as you know, he didn't. I drop to 3-1.

That's it for now.

Oh...Mike, before you throw out your standard line that most Angels fans don't even know where the stadium is, I heard and interesting stat today. The Dodgers and Angels combined drew 7 million fans, more than any city ever supporting two teams. (San Fran & Oakland were included). That just means that the whole LA basin went to one game.

Lauren's team won on Friday and again on Sunday. They were short a player, so Lauren split time at center forward and sweeper. Little girl was dragging by Sunday evening. No goals, but a game saving clear at the end of Friday's game carried the Blue Lightning to victory. Sunday was a blowout.

St. Louis in 4.
