Sports Talk
Of course Bill, I shoulda known. SO when watching a "Nuts" game, and the opponent strikes out the side, does the announcer say "The Nuts are out in order!?" (I've got a million of 'em don't get me started!)
Soccer update since it's been awhile. Along the way to their second undefeated season, the Blue Lightning has experienced defeat...twice now. The first, a bizarre game that saw our coach and a few parents get booted, and the last...the final game of the Turkey Tournament. The Lightning thoruoughly romped their way through the first four games, back to back days with 2 games each, the latter in the rain at night! They had a ton of fun until Sunday. The "big girl" opponent that I've talked about before got hurt in the first minute...a sure victory, so the Lightning thought! BUT, we saw a different opponent that day. The Tigers played way above their heads and beat Lauren's team 3-1 to steal the first place medal. Lots of tears that day.
Saturday we began the league playoffs. You could say the girls got out a bit of aggression, 9-0 for game 1. Last night was the semi's...in the pouring rain again. Tatianna went wild, scoring 5, and had 3 assists...one to Lauren inside close. Lauren also hit from about 20 yards out, probably her best all 'round game. Again, not close.
Friday night is the league final....we play the team that beat us 3-1!
Will bring highlight video to Christmas eve, for the sportsminded.

By the way, Karl blew that whole Kobe thing way out of proportion. I think he was lookin' for an out. Heck, why not play for the Spurs, it's guaranteed...right?
