Sunday's Progress
Hello Everyone!
It's Sunday afternoon and I thought I'd report in on Dad's progress. Yesterday, he graduated out of ICU and was moved up to the orthopedic/surgical floor. Dr. Hsu says he coming along well and that most likely he'll get to go for that long awaited "jog" around the floor today. It had been postponed from Friday due to his migraine and its lingering affects.
The kids and I went up to see Dad yesterday and he was still sleeping a lot (mostly due to the morphine), but he had his wits about him and his sense of humor. He's already planning a new two-story outhouse drawing, with Mother Superior getting top billing! The ideas you can come up with in a Catholic hospital! He's always thinking.
Mom reported today that the doctor is easing him off the morphine and changed the dressing on his incision. At this point, he'll probably be there until Wednesday.
