Lous P. Taglio, who placed sixth in the Winter Rifle League, was high on the Swiss Rifle Club's final seasonal scoring with a total of 1,781 points. Bill Scheuber and Paul Rupf tied for second with a total of 1, 7333 points. Louis Burch and Carl Sieber with 1,751 and 1,695 respectively, placed in the first five. The Swiss Club dropped three matches in teh Winter League, finishing third. The Turlock Civilians defeated the Turlock National Guard, las year's champions, for the Winter Rifle League title. Two Qualify Scheuber and Taglio qualified for the California State rifle shoot in Antioch, which will be held in the future. Burch and Rupf were named as alternates. The ten high shooters for the yeare are Taglio, Scheuber, Burch, Rupf, Carl Sieber, John Bucher, Arnold Sieber, Joe Ott, Henry Engler and Martin Grischott. The teams which completed in the Winter Rifle League were the Turlock Civilians and the Turlock National Guard, the Modesto Junior College Rifle team and the Modesto Rifle team and the Swiss Club. |
