Colorado Springs

John and I just got back from Colorado Springs on a company trip.  Had a great dinner last night at the Edelweiss Restaurant:  Bratwurst, jagerschnitzel, and spatzle were devoured by us while lederhosen clad musicians strolled around the tables with delightful accordion tunes.   Yesterday we took the 3 hour trip up to Pikes Peak in a Swiss made cog and enjoyed viewing the fantastic mountain scenery and animals in their habitats.  Fresh falling snow on the windows made it oh so delightful. Found out that at 14,000 ft it is difficult to move around quickly for lack of oxygen--makes me one dizzy blonde.  Also toured the Air force Academy two days ago with our group.  Was hoping to catch a glimpse of my Aunt Gunver's grandson who started there a short time ago with a full gymnastic scholarship. Oh so happy to be home to have some rest after the night life.

Edelweiss, Edelweiss, Bless my homeland forever!
