Bulldogs / Women's lacrosse team !!!!!!

FRESNO, Calif. - Despite falling to UC Davis, 15-3, on Saturday, the Fresno State women's lacrosse team played its best half of the season on Saturday in the final 30 minutes. Trailing 11-1 at halftime, the Bulldogs held the Aggies to four goals while they scored two.
"The second half was the best we have played all year," Fresno State coach Sue Behme said. "We are starting to find ourselves and that was indicative in the second half."
Allie Zachariades scored Fresno State's first goal at the 21:25 mark of the first half to cut the Davis lead to 10-1. Davis scored a little over a minute later to make the score 11-1 at the break.
UC Davis scored the first three goals of the second half and led 14-1 before Andrea Alires put a ball in the back of the net with 16:43 to play. The Bulldogs scored the final goal of the game when Aja Scheuber picked up a ground ball and scored with six minutes left in the game.
Diana Aguilar had two saves while Kohl Berry had four saves in the final 22 minutes of play.
Fresno State attempted the most shots it has taken all year in 10. Scheuber had three, Zachariades and Emily Erwin each had two.
The Bulldogs coaching staff was pleased with how the team did winning draw controls as both teams had 10. Scheuber, Jennifer Smith and MARSHAI IVERSON all did a good job of winning the draw controls.
This team of young ladies are truly doing great and learing this sport in a short period of time, especially since they are the first lacrosse team making history for Fresno, Way to go ladies and Aja, you did sooooo good, we are so proud of Aja and her team-mates.Was a very exciting game, go bulldogs.Enjoy!!!!!!!
