Fun in Florida
 John and I just returned from a week in Florida. First to a Reliable (they really are) convention in Orlanda. We went one day early so that we could finally see Epcot Center after many years of hearing praises. We loved it. The Reliable group kept the spouses busy with a boat ride in nearby lakes and canals viewing the beautiful homes along the water, the numerous birds(pelicans, cormorants, ospreys, ducks etc) the trees indigenous to the area draped in spanish moss, and beautiful blooming flowers. Lunch at a gourmet French restaurant, shopping and wine tasting where we found many Calif. wines of course. Nightly dinners at the hotel with dancing to a tropical music group by the pool. Leaving Orlando on Saturday afternoon we rented a car a drove to Ft. Meyers where we spent the next 4 days with our friends from Indiana -sunning, golfing, dining out and beach combing. (best shell collecting ever!) They took us to Marco Island where we met our other Indiana friends. (Michael's basketball coach) More dining out!!! Now home to scale down on the consumption of food an wine. |
